Yamaha's MOTIF-RACK ES is a single space rackmount synthesizer with a sleek, unique appearance, and a large front panel set of mysterious multi-function switches worthy of NASA. It is a surprisingly affordable follow-up to the Motif ES series of keyboards, and offers an enormous selection of really good sounds from the Motif library that work with just about all genres of music.
