The Pioneer S-DJ80X features tweeters, which use convex diffusers taken from TAD Labs' iconic TAD Pro TSM-2201-LR monitor speakers, which can be found in professional studios across the world. The tweeters improve the directionality of high-frequency sounds, providing a 3D stereo sound experience to take your sets to the next level.

Pioneer has designed the S-DJ80X with an 8inch woofer (the largest in the range), crafted from taught Aramid fibres, moulded over thick baffles. The S-DJ80X is also fitted with taught bass ducts crafted with grooves to reduce air friction. The speakers also output bass from the front of the unit, rather than the back. These features help the S-DJ80X deliver a powerful bass at any volume.

Pioneer has also insured that the Pioneer S-DJ80X delivers a well-balanced, low sound distortion response across all frequencies, by fitting the speaker with custom-designed Class AB bi-amps.

Not only is the Pioneer S-DJ80X fitted with a many innovative, high-tech features, Pioneer have also designed it to be practical. With a range of inputs (unbalanced RCA, balanced XLR and TSR phone), high frequency level control and a powerful illumination the Pioneer S-DJ80X is easy and hassle-free to setup. Another practical feature is the energy saving auto standby, meaning that if there is no sound detected after 25 minutes the Pioneer S-DJ80X automatically switches to standby.
