The Fokus Prestige Encore features a three-way hybrid speaker configuration, including: an 8-millimeter dynamic driver for rich, expressive bass. Dual balanced armature drivers from Knowles for detail and midrange texture. A new 6-millimeter magnetoplanar driver expands the high-frequency range, increases data transmission speed, and reveals micro details.

This improvement increases the width of the soundstage, accuracy, and realism of the timbre. The bass remains deep but restrained, the midrange is clear and realistic, while the high frequencies gain greater extension and airiness without harshness. The planar driver adds speed and accuracy to the high frequencies, creating a more engaging and natural presentation across different genres. The new metal nozzle with triple ventilation stabilizes airflow and improves sealing - a seemingly minor change that ensures more reliable performance at low frequencies and reduces variability depending on ear shape and ear tips.

A quick 10-minute charge provides around 2 hours of music listening, allowing the owner to continue using the headphones with minimal time investment.
