Description
Warm up the sound of your recording rig with the Midas XL4-2 — a true tube microphone preamp that’s fueled by a pair of premium 12AX7s. This 2-channel microphone preamp draws from Class A mono architecture, merging with its twin 12AX7s to deliver a massive dynamic range with ultra-low-noise performance. Next, the XL4-2’s 74dB of clean, crisp gain offers impressive performance even with power-hungry dynamic and ribbon mics. Moreover, the onboard AIR circuitry can be toggled to sharpen up your signal with superior definition and a distinct tonal shift. You also get a plethora of studio-standard controls and tone-enhancing features, including a built-in pad to tame hot signals, phantom power, a low-cut switch, and a phase reverse function. Lastly, studio pros find that the XL4-2's old-school aesthetic, complete with light-up VU meters, a plethora of illuminated switches, and clear panels that put the glow of the tubes on full display. Delivering rich, analog warmth to vocals, instruments, and line-level sources, the Midas XL4-2 is a bold addition to your studio setup.
